Think about the food and vet bills would cost slot.

I would be happy with a bigger engine and I would stop with it if I had it done.
I no the 1600 are great the only problem the money involves to rebuild mine properly could come to the same amount as having a new engine built from scratch.
I no I would have to increase the etc as Adam quoted.

Butty do you have a comprection tester if so could you help me to get mine working I give to cash and beer for helping I am hoping it's vales.

Dosent your compression tester work then ?
Im not gonna have any free time to look at it , im pretty busy with my own cars at the mo ....
Best thing to do is do a compression test to isolate the area/head to look at .
Take rocker covers off and look at each valve and spring combo ... If somethings broken you`ll see it , they are pretty simple engines to work on .
Get engine out exhaust off .....
Then pay Nigel Brooks to look at it , he would sort it out ....And possibly have parts to fit on it ....

ok this is what i have found today.
i have no compresstion at all on 3, and on 1 the valve is stuck i think as all 3 out of the four move but looking at it the first on the right does not move when i turn over the engine.
next question is can any one help me fix it. parts will be needed any ove have any 1600 twin port parts

Is that no.3 has no compression and no.1 has stuck valve????

Or is the valve on no.3 stuck? If so that should be a pretty straight forward fix. Probably best to take it to the guy who did Damo's. Although Gerald Dale I'm sure could fix a valve for you if he's closer.
